Alrighty Campers, for today’s challenge parents will be tasked with finding the perfect summer camp for their little tykes while the youngsters will need to have fun, learn and be active. The winner of this challenge will be determined by who had the most fun this summer.
The Insite staff has compiled a list of summer camps in the Brazos Valley to help your child stay busy while learning a thing or two.
Truman Chocolates Kid’s Chocolate Camp
Learning cooking skills and enjoying chocolate are essential parts of life. Kids can do both this summer at the Truman Chocolate Kid’s Chocolate Camp. During this three-day camp, kids will learn how to make their own Truman chocolates and incorporate them into a variety of sweets and treats like strawberries and truffles. This camp is the perfect opportunity for youngsters to ay the foundations of their future culinary accomplishments.
Mathnasium Summer Camp
Keep the kids’ minds engaged over the summer by having fun at Camp Mathnasium where math is fun. Kids will engage in math puzzles and critical thinking problems over the course of this five-day summer camp. Youngsters will be able to engage in STEM activities and enrich their minds. The camp also functions as a grade-appropriate math skills assessment that will show kids’ skill levels in various areas of math and problem-solving. At the end of the camp, Mathnasium will provide parents of campers with information on what components of math they’re strong in and what can use improvement. Get a head start on the upcoming school year and enroll in Camp Mathnasium.
Enchanted Princess Party – Kids Dance Camp
Learn to dance like a proper princess at Suzanne’s School of Dance’s Enchanted Princess Party. Kids will be able to come every morning for the duration of this camp and let loose and show off their moves. Featuring a hand-selected playlist of royal tunes for the kiddos to dance to and delectable snacks for them to munch on the Enchanted Princess Party is a perfect way to get the kids out this summer. Give those rascals a creative outlet and let them dance the morning away this summer.
Three Brothers Riding School Summer Day Camp
Saddle up and shout “hi-yo silver” this summer after signing the kids up for the Three Brothers Riding School Summer Day Camp. Over the course of this camp, kids of any skill level will be able to learn the ins and outs of riding and horse care. Gaining hands-on experience in tackle, feeding, grooming, horse breeds and stable management. Under the watchful eyes of expert instructors kids will get to make memories with their new four-legged friends. Campers should wear riding boots, long pants and bring a water bottle every day to camp. No tennis shoes are allowed and if campers don’t have a helmet then Three Brothers will provide one. Space is limited at Three Brothers Riding School, there are only twelve spots in every week’s camp so interested families should sign up as soon as possible. Campers will receive a free shirt to remember their summer spent riding trails and creating unforgettable experiences with equine friends.
Allen Academy Rambler Camp
This camp is perfect for kids who want to have an adventure this summer while keeping their minds engaged and active. Every day of the week is a new adventure at Rambler Camp. Each day campers will be able to show up and experience a new theme and engage in educational activities. Mondays are focused on making unique creations, Tuesdays are all about different flavors, Wednesdays campers should bring swimsuits because they’ll be splashing around, Thursdays focus on theatrics and performance art, and Fridays are the ideal day to celebrate. Campers will need to bring their own snacks and lunch every day except Fridays and wear comfy play clothes with closed-toe shoes. Let the little tikes learn about the world and expand their minds this summer at Rambler Camp.
Allen Academy Ram Camp
No matter what special interest junior has, Allen Academy Ram Camp will have stars in their eyes and their mouth hanging open. Featuring six programs across the summer, each featuring a different theme that field trips and lessons are centered around, Ram Camp is the perfect way to get kids to engage in summer learning through their passions. This camp promotes kids’ exploration of their interests through applied learning and hands-on activities. Campers should bring their own snacks and lunch every day except Fridays and make sure to bring swim trunks on water days. Summer is all about exploring and making memories and Ram Camp is a perfect way for Brazos Valley kids to enjoy their vacation how it was meant to be.
Texas A&M Camp Adventure
Learning beyond the classroom is the best kind of learning, especially during the summer when every little tyke wants to be outside. Camp Adventure is an outdoor action experience like nothing else in the Brazos Valley. Kids will be able to engage in dynamic action sports like archery, pickleball and swimming. Campers will learn the benefits of physical activity along with camping skills that will foster a love for the outdoors. Campers are split into age groups of twelve kids and paired with a counselor that takes them to various activity areas where a dedicated instructor will teach them everything they need to know. This summer, forget studying and let junior explorers experience what a real adventure is like.
Class Act Etiquette Camp
Social skills aren’t going out of style at Susan’s Ballroom Dance Class Act Etiquette Camp. At this camp dedicated to teaching the arts of courtesy and sociability kids will be able to break out of their shell and learn to be confident in any setting. Featuring lessons on basic manners, dining etiquette and cell phone courtesy, the Class Act Etiquette Camp will whip any little rascal into a proper member of society. Kids will learn popular ballroom and swing dance moves and routines so they can have confidence at any party or event. Kids will build their confidence and social skills over this one of a kind experience culminating in a Banquette where they can put everything they learned to the test.
Thunder Elite Summer Camp

The Girl Scouts of Bryan/College Station’s Howdy Day summer camp looks to educate young girls about history while exploring and deepening the understanding of myths and legends around the world! Featuring activities like Girl Scout traditions, stories, songs, crafts, food, and games! The weeklong camp looks to educate campers on the history of the human race while making it fun and exciting! While you do not have to be a part of a troop to join this summer camp, you do need to be registered as a Girl Scout.
