The Arts Council has concluded its annual scholarship program and can’t be more proud of this year’s winners! This year, four graduating high school seniors in the Brazos Valley were each awarded one of the three different arts scholarships that we offer. Our winners hail from College Station and Bryan, Texas.
Our scholarship program is very dear to us and we look forward to next year’s round of applicants. Read more below for information on the scholarships we offer and for your chance to apply in 2025!
This Year’s Winners
Abraham Guillen
Abraham Guillen: James Young Bradified Fine Arts Scholarship Recipient
Mr. Guillen graduated from A&M Consolidated High School and is pursuing a degree in Music Composition from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Grace DuBose
Grace DuBose: College Arts Scholarships Recipient
Ms. DuBose graduated from Travis B. Bryan High School and is pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts from Baylor University.
Kendall McKinney
Kendall McKinney: College Arts Scholarships Recipient
Ms. McKinney graduated from A&M Consolidated High School and is pursuing a degree in Art History from The University of Texas in Austin
Madison Jackson
Madison Jackson: Netta Jackson Simek Artist Scholarship Recipient
Ms. Jackson graduated from A&M Consolidated High School and is pursuing a degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University.

The Arts Council of Brazos Valley, through the generous support of local donors, awards multiple scholarships each year to deserving young artists in the Brazos Valley. Since 2010, the Arts Council of Brazos Valley has awarded over $100,000 in scholarship funds to deserving Brazos Valley High School seniors pursuing their dreams of a college degree and career in the arts!
